Energy Analytics & Policies
The energy sector plays a central role in the conduct of economic activities. This program offers courses to acquire the required expertise and skills including data-driven quantitative analysis and practical problem-solving methods, to foster reliable human resources capable of contributing to the Japanese and international energy sectors.
Islamic Finance & Economics
Islamic finance is growing into an integral part of global finance, and there is an increasing interest in the important role of risk sharing in promoting financial stability and economic prosperity. This program presents the theoretical foundations and practical knowledge on Islamic finance, banking and economics. The aim is to nurture global human resources with high skills in problem solving, innovation, and critical thinking required for the development of the Japanese financial sector.
Urban Business Design
This program provides an opportunity to gain the required expertise in business of cities and regions. It aims at developing practical knowledge useful in problem solving and business design through collaborating with public organizations.
Urban and Regional Development & Transportation
This program focuses on sustainable urban and regional development. It offers courses aimed at gaining the required expertise in urban and regional planning as well as transportation policy for cities, regional communities and transportation in consideration of social, economic and technological changes.
Accounting, Taxation & Consulting
This program provides an opportunity to gain specialized knowledge in accounting and taxation, which are essential for sound decision-making and good governance. This expertise extends to corporate consulting aimed at cultivating the individual capabilities needed for sound management practices in a wide range of business enterprises.
Global Business Management
The global movement of capital, goods, services and information has economic and financial implications for the Japanese and global businesses. The objective of this program is to develop the global human resources with specialized knowledge, innovative thinking, and problem-solving skills in international business administration and commerce.
Global Political Economy
This program focuses on the interdependent economic and political forces in the global sphere. It provides courses aimed at understanding the different worldviews, the impact of global and domestic events, and changes in international relations on the behaviour of government and global businesses. Sustainable Agribusiness & Food Systems
This program focuses on the conditions for sustainable agribusinesses, markets and food systems. It offers courses aimed at gaining specialized knowledge about the dynamics of local agricultural systems, global agribusinesses, and food systems. The aim is to develop human resources with the required analytical and problem-solving skills to implement sound agribusiness strategies, transform regional economies, and address issues related to food-loss and environmental problems.
